Front office executives in hotels have many responsibilities, including:
Reservations
Making and confirming reservations, and making reservations for restaurants, transportation, or entertainment
Administrative tasks
Maintaining a customer database, making phone calls, receiving and responding to emails and faxes, and making arrangements for other employees
Guest service
Greeting and assisting visitors, handling guest complaints and questions, and helping with basic issues
Communication
Developing strong working relationships with other departments and maintaining records of guests who have stayed at the hotel
Compliance
Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and adhering to safety procedures
Valuables
Depositing guests' valuables in the hotel safe or safe deposit box
